Machine-applied
screed
laid by pump

Machine-applied screed is the same semi-dry method, only the mortar is pumped instead of carried. We run German Brinkmann and Putzmeister equipment — the most powerful on the Kyiv market. The ready mix travels through a hose up to 200 m long and as high as the 30th floor without losing quality. One crew lays up to 150 m² per shift.

Why the semi-dry
method is better

Outdated method

Traditional (wet) method

Too much water in the mix: as it evaporates you get surface defects, shrinkage cracks and warping. Higher cost, longer schedule, greater risk of defects.

Machine-applied (semi-dry) method

Minimum water content — exactly as much as the cement needs to hydrate. A lower water-cement ratio means less cement for the same volume, and cement is the most expensive part of the mix — hence the lower price at higher quality. Shorter schedule, a perfectly flat surface with no cracks or shrinkage.

How machine-applied screed
differs from hand-mixed

Machine-applied floor screed is a modern method in which the machine, not a person, does every key step. The mortar is prepared inside the pneumatic pump, where sand, cement, water and fibre are mixed in exact proportions. Compressed air then carries the ready semi-dry mix along a rubber hose straight to the pour — the right floor, the right room.

We use Brinkmann and Putzmeister equipment made in Germany — the top tier in the trade. The machine pumps mortar up to 30th floor vertically and up to 200 metres horizontally. Most crews work with budget machines that stop at the 5th–8th floor; we have no such limit.

What machine-applied screed gives you over hand-mixed: exact water dosing (no excess), a mix that is uniform throughout, high speed (up to 150 m² a day against 30–40 m² by hand) and clean delivery — no sacks of sand, mixers or buckets on site. The screed comes out flatter, with no layering or air pockets.

The surface left by machine-applied screed is ready for any finish: laminate, tiles, porcelain stoneware, engineered board, vinyl or a self-levelling topping. Flatness deviation is typically 2–3 mm under a 2-metre straightedge, which meets the increased requirements of DIN 18202. Fibre reinforcement rules out drying cracks.

We work in Kyiv and the region — Brovary, Irpin, Bucha, Boryspil, Vyshhorod, Vyshneve. The site survey is free and the work carries a 1-year guarantee. Prices start from UAH 425/m². For an exact figure use the calculator.

What our
clients say

★★★★★

We ordered screed for an 85 m² apartment. The crew arrived on time and finished in one day; the level showed under 2 mm deviation. Recommended.

— Oleksandr K., Kyiv
★★★★★

Very happy with the work. Clean, tidy, and the price matches the quality. I recommend them to anyone renovating a new-build.

— Nataliia V., Kyiv
★★★★★

We ordered screed for a 130 m² office. I doubted they could finish in a day — but they did, working non-stop and cleaning up afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

How does machine-applied screed differ from ordinary screed?
Machine-applied screed is mixed and delivered by a pneumatic pump — a machine that blends sand, cement and water in exact proportions and pushes the ready mortar through a hose. Hand-laid screed is mixed in a concrete mixer or by hand: far slower, with much wider swings in quality.
What equipment do you use?
We run Brinkmann (Germany) and Putzmeister (Germany) — the most powerful equipment on the Kyiv market. It delivers mortar as high as the 30th floor and up to 200 metres horizontally without any loss of mix quality.
How high up can you pump the mortar?
Up to the 30th floor vertically. Most crews are capped at the 5th–8th floor by weaker machines; we are not. Horizontally the hose runs up to 200 m.
How many m² do you lay in a day?
One crew lays up to 150 m² per shift. The limit is not the pumping rate but the time it takes to level and screed by hand. On sites over 200 m² we can put two crews on at once.
Can machine-applied screed be laid in freezing weather?
Yes, with one condition: the indoor temperature must be at least +5°C. The mortar is sensitive to cold: below that, the water freezes before the cement has fully hydrated. On unheated sites we use temporary heated enclosures.
Why is machine-applied screed dearer than hand-laid?
The headline rate can be much the same, but the machine method works out cheaper overall. It is 3–5 times faster, the quality is more consistent, and there are no cracks and no redoing the job. You save time, money and nerves. For large volumes, hardly anyone orders hand-laid screed these days.
Do you lay machine-applied screed in private houses?
Yes. We work in apartment blocks as well as private houses, cottages, townhouses, offices and commercial premises. Our diesel compressor lets us work even on sites with no mains electricity.
What guarantee comes with machine-applied screed?
An official 1-year guarantee. We work under a written contract. If anything goes wrong through our fault — cracks, unevenness, delamination — we redo it at no charge.
